My connector cable had an intermitted contact to the usb receiver. When i hold the cable stiff and pressed it against the hub the connection worked as it should. So I created a thing to hold the connector against the hub to ensure a stable connection. It also helps to relieve some stress on the cable. If you still need more pressure, put some paper or cardboard in it like you see in the picture.
