Jabba the Hutt (Smooth Version)
thingiverse
The original model stood out for its angular appearance and large polygons, particularly on its body. This look can be quite striking if you're aiming for a computerized Jabba model, but I opted to use MeshMixer to soften the edges for a more realistic appearance, which I think looks excellent. To make it print-friendly, I also made the bottom flat. I even added some color with paint. The throne shown remains unchanged from its original state and hasn't been modified in any way, so if you're interested in that specific design, you'll need to download it directly from its source page. Print Settings Printer: Dremel 3D Idea Builder Rafts: You won't notice a difference whether or not they're used. Supports: The same principle applies here; it doesn't make much of a difference. Notes: This design prints just fine without supports, but on my printer, I did encounter some stringing in the mouth and under his right arm. Attempting to print with supports made little difference, as you still need to remove them and clean up any areas where they were present. Your printer's performance may vary, of course.
