Jabba the Hutt (Small & Life Size)
cults3d
This is a model that I commissioned from Josh Smith at Beast Toys for use in a series of YouTube videos where I printed it to scale. It's detailed enough to hold up even at life size, although there will be some slight faceting in areas. The smaller version is the right size for 3 ¾ inch action figures. I would recommend using the flat-bottom version most of the time, as it prints better and only requires a little support under the arms and tail. The life-sized version measures around 10.5 feet long by 5.5 feet tall. It needs to be cut into pieces to print, but I'm not sharing my specific cut-up model because I had some issues with it. Instead, I suggest cutting up the model to fit your printer's needs and capabilities. In my case, I hollowed out the life-sized version and sliced it into 1 cm thick pieces, but I recommend using thicker shells - maybe 1 inch thick or more. I also used a .8mm nozzle to speed up printing. Check out my YouTube videos for more information on how I printed the life-sized version.
