I've been making and selling a fret wire bender on eBay for about a year, but have decided to stop producing it. The original version was made from aluminum and CNC milled. This new model is very similar, but has some changes that make it easier to print and requires a few parts to be purchased separately. Pictures of the finished product are attached. To assemble the fret bender, insert the square nuts into the back of the device. Then, slide both bearings onto one shoulder bolt and add a spacing washer. Screw it into the square nut from the front side. Do the same thing for the next hole. For the adjustable roller set, slide one bearing onto the shoulder bolt, then add a washer, then slide on the next bearing, then another washer. Now screw it down through the slot into the square nut in the back slot. The tang of the fret wire will ride in the slot between the upper bearing stack. This upper set will be loosened and tightened manually and will act as your adjustment. Here's a shopping list with McMaster-Carr part numbers for reference: M6 washers to act as spacers (I used 1.0mm thickness in my original, but these can be hard to find) (Qty 6) - McMaster Part: 91166A250 M6x12 shoulder bolts for locating and securing the bearings (Qty 3) - McMaster Part: 92981A101 Square nuts (Qty 3) - McMaster Part: 96887A331 626-ZZ bearings (Qty 6) Pick these up from any eBay seller – a 10 pc lot usually costs $3-$6.
