This setup provides an alternate extruder design, with a baseline modelled from Prusa i3 rework's structure. The fanduct is specifically designed to be compatible with the aluminum extruder body of the j head. For mounting purposes, two 50mm rings can be acquired for approximately two euros on eBay, using this item number: 351196814296. By modifying the provided OpenSCAD file, you have the option to either use a smaller ring (e.g., 40mm) or set up a dual extrusion rig. Instructions are as follows: You will find a cable pass-through hole within the light ring assembly for securing the connection wires. To facilitate a simplified installation process, you can opt to connect both the extruder fan and the light ring in parallel (operating on 12VDC). The design features direct mounting points for screws that enter the fanduct itself; as such, no M3 nuts are required. For additional flexibility, two screws were added specifically to facilitate easy removal of the light ring at a later stage if needed.
