J-Head / E3D Holder v2

J-Head / E3D Holder v2

I needed to upgrade my default extruder head, so I separated it into two components: a bowden extruder on one side and a JHead on the other. The bowden extruder is from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1436572. After researching existing JHead/E3D holders, I found none that met my expectations. As usual, I decided to create my own design. Initially, I attempted to use my previous version (http://www.thingaverse.com/thing:939956), but the sensor bracket broke, so I didn't continue with it. I later discovered that some of my print quality issues were caused by a missing extrusion cooler, so I installed one right away. To ensure the extrusion cooler was close enough to the hotend, I removed the LED ring and moved the lights around the bed. I attached them to the printer's body instead. This design was created with OpenSCAD in case any modifications were needed, such as changing screws or the JHead itself. I built it quickly and didn't take much time to perfect the code, but I still chose to share it anyway because it is customizable.
