Hello!\nHere is my first object uploaded to Thingiverse!\nI designed this extruder to enhance my cheap Chinese Reprap. Initially, I had mounted it just above the hotend, but often the filament was melting right in the extruder.\nThis solution works perfectly well for me and I'm truly satisfied with it! Note that it's tailored specifically for 1.75mm filament.\n**** Update October 12, 2015 ****\nHere is a link to a bracket to secure the extruder to the top part of a Mendel 3DP02\nLink: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1190405\n\nPrint Settings\nPrinter Brand: \n Printrbot\n Printer: \n Simple Black\n Rafts: \n It Doesn't Matter\n Supports: \n It Doesn't Matter\n Infill: \n 15%\n Notes:\n I printed it using ABS, but it should also work with PLA. I didn't use any special settings.\nPost-Printing\nArm Assembly\n When printing the arm, create a thin layer for fixing the bearing ball initially and remove it afterwards using a cutter blade. \nInsert the cylindrical 623ZZ bearing (3x10x4 mm) and secure it with an M3 screw having a low head. \ Support part assembly Attach the motor directly onto this part. Secure it with three screws (M3) then add a spring to hold the arm firmly. Next, screw the PTFE push-fit connector onto the motor support and make sure that all parts fit together snugly. Bowden extruder mounting Fix the bowden extruder to any chosen support.
