The Chengdu J-10 (known in Western circles as the "Vigorous Dragon" or by its NATO Reporting Name Firebird) is a multirole fighter aircraft engineered to operate in all weather conditions, boasting a delta wing and canard design, along with fly-by-wire flight controls. This lightweight warplane was designed and manufactured by China's Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC) specifically for the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). To date, only Pakistan has acquired J-10s from China for its own air force.
