The marque IZ was formerly DKW, produced from 1938-45 under the badge; many were made for the wermacht and desert renders result. After WW2, DKW was absorbed by Russians, with designer Hermann Weber at Izewsk until his death in '48, produced in Moscow, Izewsk, Sierpuchow.
