Ixthiuitol - Vault of the Devourer - 5E miniature
thingiverse
I've been prepping to run the Vault of the Devourer adventure and really love some of the details, so I decided to create a standee for the manifestation of Ixthiuitol. To make it happen, I compiled two versions from these models: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2098682, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2755040, and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:539669. I imported the bodies into Solid Works and cut out rounds for the tentacle locations to get a better fit. I added a round end to each tentacle to allow it to be positioned as needed in the scene. I printed the first model at 0.1 layers and 20% infill, while the second version was printed at 0.2 layers due to time constraints, and the bases were printed at 80% fill for added weight. Once I had all the parts, I glued them together to create a complete standee. These models are just examples, and I'm still not sure which one I like better, so I'll keep experimenting until I find the perfect fit. Now that I have these standees ready, I need to move on to creating a model of the torn asunder Traveler.
