IX5 Split mini mount
thingiverse
Updated! Camera now clicks into place firmly enough to dispense with bolts for a clean flight. Additionally, it's significantly stronger for crashes. M2 bolts are optional but will likely still come loose during a crash if you don't use them. The length of the M2 bolts is up to you; longer ones provide greater crash resistance. If you're finding the M2 bolts difficult to screw into the camera itself, then the camera isn't clicked down far enough (it takes a considerable amount of force, I use two hands). I took two things and merged them while adding an IX5 top frame and making it quick connect. The receiver slides in under the top frame. The camera screws in with two small bolts at a tiny sideways angle to hold different brands of IX5 main cameras in place snugly. The cutout at the bottom was made to fit the Revolt V3 FC I'm using on my builds (the little plug on top of the FC is slightly too high). This design replaces the IX5 carbon fiber top frame piece. It has slots for zipties to hold antennas, slots for a ziptie to hold power for a split, and a hole for a VTX antenna. It fits Banggood's IX5 (smaller main camera carbon fiber mount) and Amazon's IX5. The design locks the split in place. If you can improve it, please use the remix button so I can get the better version too!
