Ivysaur From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Seed Pokémon, Ivysaur, is Bulbasaur's evolved form, one of three starting Pokémon in Pokémon Red and Blue and their remakes. It evolves into Venusaur. Compared to Bulbasaur, Ivysaur becomes taller and heavier, with a pink flower-bud replacing its trademark bulb. Four leaves now appear at the base of this bud. Its legs are more robust, allowing it to support the larger bulb, but limiting its ability to stand on hind legs. Its eyes look more aggressive and intimidating than before. As before, Ivysaur's bulb shares a mutualistic relationship with it; they both grow by basking in sunlight. The bud will emit a sweet scent when it is ready to bloom, signaling that the host will evolve. To reach evolution, an Ivysaur spends more time soaking up sunlight.
