Ivy pollen
sketchfab
Pollen from ivy (Hedera helix) is dispersed by insects, resulting in relatively low quantities released into the environment. This makes it challenging to interpret past dynamics of ivy plants due to limited pollen preservation in bogs and lakes. A detailed technical description of Hedera helix pollen can be found in PalDat: medium-sized, isopolar monads, spherical or prolate in shape, circular or triangular when viewed from the polar side, tricolporate with a reticulate exine.
