Ivy Killer

Ivy Killer

thingiverse

After years of repeatedly cutting back invasive ivy only to see it grow back, I finally came up with a clever solution. The concept revolves around drilling a small hole into the stem of the offending ivy plant or any other unwanted shrub/tree. Next, insert an ivy killer into the hole and fill it up with a strong saline solution - a dash of vinegar added for extra potency is also acceptable. Once the cap is securely in place, leave the plant to "drink" its fill. Plants inherently dislike salt and vinegar, which makes this method particularly effective. The solution will kill the ivy dead, right down to its roots. To see this technique in action, visit my website at www.myprojectcorner.com.
