Itopie X-carriage (3 bearings) with aluminium 20 pulley
thingiverse
X-carriage for itopie upgraded with 3 bearings, a tweak that's easily adaptable to generic prusa i3 designs. No zip ties are needed, and the design is symmetrical, making it easy to pair with an aluminum 20-pulley setup. However, I've found using 4 bearings in itopie creates more friction, leading to resonance issues, especially since I'm running igus bushes. To mitigate this, I modified the x-axis parts to tension the rods and incorporate a lead screw. The new components can be found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1315535. By implementing these changes, I've seen an approximately 80% reduction in resonance problems on the X axis. Print Settings: Printer: Itopie i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 40%
