Italian Spica Class Torpedo Boat 3D print model
cgtrader
This model depicts a Spica-class torpedo boat scaled down to 1/1800th size. Certain features are not represented in proportion. The Italian Navy commissioned thirty-two of these boats right before WWII began. They featured four torpedo launchers, two on each side, as well as three 4-inch cannons and assorted anti-aircraft and anti-submarine armaments. This scaled model has been crafted and evaluated at 1/1800th scale, but it can be adapted to larger or smaller versions if desired. However, up-scaling the model might not produce satisfactory results due to lack of details in its design. Gun barrels and mast are deliberately oversized for visibility. I am continuing to build a collection of WWII warships. Please stay tuned for additional updates. If you have any specific requests, feel free to message me, and I will prioritize them accordingly. As an update on August 14th, 2019: Anchor chains and boats were added to the model. The testing was done with PLA filament using a layer height of .1mm and nozzle diameter of .4mm.
