Itago Thermal/Slope plank 1.26 m
thingiverse
Update 2020-09-22: Added Wing 1 RevA. Small modifications for easier printing, nothing major. --------------------- Light thermal/slope plank, 1.26 m span, PW-RES foils. Attempt to print light enough for thermal and light slope conditions. AUW 390 g at 43.5 mm CG. 4 mm carbon tube required as wing joiner. Print in PLA at as high temperature as just possible (250°C in my case). 0.2 mm nozzle required, 0.35 mm layer width. Do not expect an easy print, rather 1 week of tuning and 1 week of printing. Important: The wing has no reinforcements apart from the wing joiner. It relies on layer adhesion! Sliced with Prusa Slicer. Mesh modifiers required for some components, see 3mf files. Print wing and fin with 1 perimeter, no infill. 2 top layers for Wing 1 L+R, otherwise none. Print fuse with 2 perimeters, also 0.35 mm width. Glue parts with CA, sand before gluing! Cut out ailerons after gluing wings 1-3, before gluing wingtips. Attach ailerons by goop or silicone hinge.
