IT-Extruder, Bowden Drive valid for Flexible filament
thingiverse
A few months ago, I acquired a pair of Titan extruders at a budget-friendly price. Although they performed well with my 60 cm Bowden setup, I was not entirely convinced, particularly due to the lever's support on the motor shaft. Just then, I stumbled upon the J-Struder, which impressed me with its design and concept of traction over thrust. However, in my case, it sometimes lacked sufficient power. After a few laps around FreeCAD, this creation emerged: The IT-Struder It is unmistakably inspired by and based on the J-Struder, yet it also boasts significant differences that led me to publish it as a Redesign rather than a Remix. I could potentially change this classification if needed. I utilize most of the components from a Titan extruder, which means they share the same reduction factor in theory. As such, my MARLIN value with 1/8 Step is set at: 211 The assembly's complexity depends on how well adjusted your printer is. You may need to sand or retouch certain parts to ensure they fit together properly or to place the bearings. In any case, I always prefer reviewing the drills with a drill bit of its size. Since I primarily work with ABS, drilling, sanding, and even threading directly onto the piece pose no difficulties. The assembly process is straightforward, and I hope that the accompanying photos and comments will help you assemble it without any issues. If another orientation is required, simply printing all parts in mirror should suffice.
