ISTANBUL Scene Details ------------ City Map: An accurate city map of Istanbul is created using OSM satellite data. The scene is specifically prepared for V-Ray rendering. Preview Images: These are actual render outputs from the V-Ray software version 3.60.03. Geometry: ------------------------------ Area Dimensions: Approximately 40 x 40 kilometers in size. Geometry Data Sources: Based on accurate OSM (OpenStreetMap) satellite data. The scene features distinct layers for various components: buildings, parks, roads, and other features based on the OSM data layer. Roughly modelled base landmarks have been directly imported from the OSM dataset; no height maps were utilized in this geometry setup. Surface Alignment: All components of the scene are accurately aligned to a flat surface for consistent realism. Note for Users: To achieve optimal results, consult the preview images for detailed insights into populated areas. A limitation arises due to restrictions set by the OSM project regarding complete import of residential buildings or districts. This is necessary due to licensing concerns. Modifying Details: Each layer in the scene can be adjusted to refine the level of detail as per user preferences. Materials Used: The scene utilizes V-Ray materials for accurate textures and visual accuracy. Maps and data required are included within a corresponding 3ds Max zipfile. Lighting Setup: - Daylight System: An immersive day lighting setup provides photorealistic lighting effects for scenes captured during daylight hours. Export Formats ---------------- - Scene Compatibility: The scene is compatible with V-Ray-enabled versions of Autodesk's 3ds Max software (starting from version 2015). Other compatible formats include FBX and OBJ, which are export-friendly for widespread use.
