This design initially accommodated an iPhone 4S and an iPad 3rd gen; however, it can be easily customized for other tablet-phone combos by modifying the SCAD file. The current depth between sections fits a third-gen iPad with a Smart Cover (12mm). To adjust for thicker cases, simply recompile in OpenSCAD and change the "iPad_depth" parameter. The model offers options to generate top or rear section alone, with or without dock connector slot, or displaying parts assembled/next to each other for printing purposes. Printed at 15% infill and 0.3mm layers; improvements could include strengthening the posts. Assembly involves an interference fit - slight sanding and cleaning may be necessary. For advanced printers, grab "istack_assembled" model or print "istack front" and "istack rear" separately with support. The concept evolved from a parametric remote control holder, despite no shared code.
