Israeli Civilian Gas Mask Filter

Israeli Civilian Gas Mask Filter

thingiverse

This Israeli civilian gas mask filter is actually a prop but can be made functional with proper sealing and customized filter media. The thread on GasMaskFilter_Top.stl adheres to NATO's STANAG 4155 spec, commonly known as "40mm NATO thread". An updated version includes NATO_STANAG_4155_40mm_Adapter_rev5.stl for the 40mm thread model. Initially, I designed this filter to combat acetone fumes during 3D prints using activated charcoal pellets between carbon filters, but it's not a substitute for proper respiratory protection. Use at your own risk. Assembling requires #6-32 machine screws (x6) and nuts (x6). I made the biohazard symbol green by switching filament mid-print but faced challenges removing support material between symbols. Future improvements could involve separate printing and gluing of the filter bottom and biohazard symbol.
