Cyclooctene exhibits three distinct isomers, each characterized by the conformation of its double bond. This bond can exist in either a cis (Z) or trans (E) configuration. The trans isomer, in particular, displays two enantiomeric forms - RP and SP - as a result of the molecule's planar symmetry. To prepare these molecules for printing, two separate parts must be created and then assembled together using glue. Supports are also required to ensure proper structure and stability.
