Isobel came to visit us at the Big Bang Fair and was put through a 3D scan using our scanning rig, which includes 96 DSLR cameras that capture a total of 1.8 Giga pixels of data for each scan. We worked with the experts from CapturingReality.com to process the data - their software is able to analyze each image, identifying unique points on each one and then plotting those points in 3D space if they appear on more than one image.
