ISO viscosity flow cups
thingiverse
I needed a set of viscometers and found drawings with rough dimensions online for different types. This collection is for ISO 9431 standard cups in dimensions 3, 4, 6, and 8 millimeters. The "ISO * mm.stl" files are full cups with correct hole size. The "ISO cup basis.stl" in combination with the "* mm tip.stl" files form a complete set of cups with inserts for reduced filament use. The four different dimensions cover these ranges of viscosity: 3 millimeters: 4.6-52 centiStokes 4 millimeters: 19-163 centiStokes 6 millimeters: 84-823 centiStokes 8 millimeters: 187-2711 centiStokes The formulas for calculating viscosity from the flow time are: 3 millimeters: V=0.443t-200/t 4 millimeters: V=1.37t-200/t 6 millimeters: V=6.90t-570/t 8 millimeters: V=21.78t-306/t Where V is kinematic viscosity in centiStokes and t is time for cup to empty in seconds. Please note that you cannot trust the values as these are plastic replicas, and true viscometer cups are precision machined from aluminum and stainless steel. It is possible to test accuracy by using calibration fluids specified in the standard.
With this file you will be able to print ISO viscosity flow cups with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on ISO viscosity flow cups.
