Isle of Trains is a card game that comes in a box slightly oversized for its contents, but this minor imperfection suited my creative needs perfectly. The absence of finger slots was a deliberate design choice, as I preferred the clean look without them. Moreover, flipping the box over to access the cards proved to be an effortless solution. In Tinkercad, however, I encountered a mistake - the hole for the card slot wasn't lowered through the plane, resulting in an internal lip at the bottom of the slot. Initially, I intended to rectify this issue but grew fond of its unique appearance, especially when paired with grey filament that matches the cardboard. This design quirk also serves as a practical solution, preventing cards from slipping underneath the insert. Potential improvements to consider: integrating a thin base that would enable printing with 0% infill and no top layer. This design modification could be flipped over to conceal the hollow section, ultimately reducing material usage.
