The third mosque in Croatia stands proudly in Rijeka's Zamet district, situated on the city's western edge. This architectural masterpiece was designed by renowned sculptor Dušan Džamonja and his team of architects Darko Vlahović and Branko Vučinović. Their collaborative effort has resulted in a structure that commands international attention for its artistic significance. Located on a hillside, visitors can take in the breathtaking views of Učka mountain's slopes and the islands dotting Rijeka's waters. Spanning 10,800 square metres, this complex boasts four levels: a gallery, ground floor, and two additional floors. The expansive facility encompasses 3,074 square metres, featuring an Emir of Qatar-named congress centre, a restaurant, apartments, guest rooms, and an underground parking garage. Up to 1,400 people can fit inside the mosque for prayer, while its 23-metre-high minaret stands tall. A visit here is truly worthwhile to behold the mosque's extraordinary architecture firsthand.
