Islamic glass vessel fragment from the Randall Manor excavation, Kent, England, dated to the 14th century. Manufactured in the Middle East, likely Syria, this artifact features faint Arabic text translated as 'warrior' or 'scholar'. Found in a midden at Randall Manor. For over ten years, a team of professional archaeologists and volunteers has been excavating Shorne Woods, Kent. Initially, their focus was on the medieval manor site known as Randall Manor. In recent years, their efforts have expanded to include other sites within Shorne Woods Country Park and the surrounding area in Kent. At times, they have collaborated with other Kentish archaeology groups on various projects.
