ISDT Q6 Plus Housing
thingiverse
The plastic casing on my ISDT Q6+ cracked, and since the electronics remained intact, I decided to reverse engineer it as an excellent F360 project. I attempted to duplicate it as precisely as possible by measuring everything, but it's not a flawless replica. It functions for me as a direct replacement printed from my printer, but some adjustments may be necessary depending on your application. This can be somewhat challenging to print: * The top/lid section prints best with a raft and the upper surface facing down to the build plate (the upper surface features the raised thumbwheel rim) * The Base section prints fine for me without supports when the flat bottom is aligned to the print surface You can remove the plastic display cover from your original by heating it up with a hot air gun to soften the adhesive while lifting it. Once that's done, it exposes the 4 screws holding together the electronics with the two parts of the original injection molded casing. The display ribbon cable connects to a standard ribbon cable connector with a locking slider. The fan plugs in using a JST connector.
