Irwin 6" Quick Grip Syringe Adapter - Water Gun

Irwin 6" Quick Grip Syringe Adapter - Water Gun

thingiverse

Free, open source, creative commons non-commercial licensed parametric model for an adapter that will allow a 60mL syringe to be installed on a 6" Irwin Quick Grip one-handed clamp. With the syringe installed, this turns the quick grip into a water gun that can also be used for pneumatic and hydraulic projects of other sorts. A full 60mL syringe gives ~16 full squirts of water, which have a range of about 22 feet each. Think little squirtgun user experience with the power of a Super Soaker. The SCAD file has a variable called "syringe diameter" that if changed, will adjust the entire model to match a different syringe. Maximum diameter is about 83mm, though larger could be accommodated with other modifications. Can also be edited to accommodate different size/brand of clamps. Simply remove the screw from the front part of a clamp, remove the front clamp piece, install the printed piece, re-install the nut and bolt, and slide in your syringe, you'll be ready to go. Don't forget to scale the part in your slicer according to expected shrinkage of print material, otherwise you're likely to be hammer fitting everything together.
