This Ceiling Fan / Light pull chain, ball chain, pull string knob, handle, finial, fob is designed specifically for use with standard #6 (3.2mm) ball chain, but it will also work perfectly with smaller chains as long as a #6 metal connector is used. THIS VERSION WILL PRINT WITHOUT THE NEED FOR SUPPORTS. To start, simply feed the chain through the top of the print and attach a standard #6 connector to it securely. If using a ball chain and metal connector, you can easily form a loop around a keyring and hook with the other end of the connector. However, if you don't have a metal connector on hand, you can print the BALL-CONNECTOR.stl file I've included. NOTE: if you print the connector in PLA, it's a very tight fit, so be sure to lay the chain on a hard surface, position the connector over the last ball of the chain and push down until it snaps into place securely. You can also use string with a large knot tied in the end for an alternative option. When printing this design, I usually opt for 10% infill - but if you plan to use it on a ceiling fan, you may want to consider using a higher infill percentage for added weight and stability.
