IronMan Helmet Lifesize Scale

IronMan Helmet Lifesize Scale

After spending numerous hours reviewing, cleaning, and modifying an Iron Man helmet model, I've finally reached completion. Each part of the 55-piece set is now prepared for supportless printing (except the hinge mechanism). The parts are all contained within the updated Iron Man Helmet optimized_v2.zip file. I own a Huxley 3D printer with a limited platform size (13x13 cm, 9 cm high), so I decided to create a smaller version of my model. It measures approximately 11x14x16 cm and features a functional hinge for opening the mask, just like in the movies. However, a small-scale helmet wasn't enough for me. I scaled it up further to accommodate a real human head (23x30x33.3 cm), leaving room for foam or similar materials to enhance comfort during wear. Due to my printer's limitations, I split the model into numerous smaller pieces and arranged them efficiently on the Huxley's print bed. For those who wish to create their own large-scale helmet, I've included a combined STL file for assembly. However, be cautious that the overall scale may be slightly too big. Consider reducing it by 10-15% (or even 20%) to achieve an optimal size and save material. My apologies to those who have already printed at full scale. Don't forget to download the Largescale_jaw_part2 file, as it is missing from the original zip folder. After printing all the parts, assemble them using glue, sand any excess material, and paint (or print in the desired color directly). For small-scale versions, use HelmPar1, Part 2 (the jaw), Jaw_part2, and Mask.stl files. These fit together at the appropriate scale. Assembling the large-scale version requires Largescale..Part1, Part 2, and so on. Be prepared for numerous parts, but if you have a larger print bed, you might be able to combine multiple parts into one. The included .blend file showcases how the pieces should be assembled. A helpful tip: label each part with its name for easy identification during assembly. It's also recommended to print the parts in stages (e.g., mask parts first, then jaw parts) to avoid confusion between similar-looking pieces. Remember to scale down the model appropriately to achieve the desired size and save material
