Our new Vileda "Star Plus" ironing board has a cable support rod that was too weak to hold up the cable above the board. So I took the measurements and added a strengthening element that holds the folding plastic piece in vertical position. It can be removed when we want to fold it. But when used, it makes the thing way more comfortable.
