As part of my coursework at SAE Institutes in Vienna, I was tasked with crafting an axe-like weapon inspired by the fantasy world of Warcraft. The project required me to push the boundaries of creativity and technical skills, bringing together form and function in a unique and visually stunning way. My design focused on creating an axe that would be both functional and aesthetically pleasing, drawing inspiration from various sources within the Warcraft universe. From the brutal efficiency of a dwarven battle-axe to the elegant curves of an elfin greataxe, I sought to capture the essence of these iconic weapons in my own creation. To bring this vision to life, I employed a range of skills and techniques learned during my time at SAE Institutes. These included modeling, texturing, and lighting in 3D software, as well as rendering and post-processing to achieve a high level of visual fidelity. Through dedication and perseverance, I was able to overcome the challenges that arose throughout the project, resulting in an axe that not only meets but exceeds my initial expectations. One of the most significant aspects of this project was the opportunity to experiment with different materials and textures, exploring how they would interact with light and contribute to the overall appearance of the axe. This involved a deep dive into the world of Warcraft's art style, analyzing the way characters and environments are rendered and incorporating these findings into my design. Throughout the process, I encountered various obstacles that forced me to think creatively and find innovative solutions. These challenges ultimately helped shape the final product, which showcases not only technical prowess but also artistic vision and attention to detail. As I reflect on this project, I am proud of what I have accomplished and the skills I have honed during my time at SAE Institutes in Vienna. This axe is more than just a creation; it represents a culmination of hard work, dedication, and passion for storytelling through art.
