Iron Swine-Land crawler
thingiverse
This started off as a rugged locomotive but now evolved into a versatile Land crawler cargo hauler. There are numerous files, carefully labeled for your convenience, and I've taken the time to organize them in a logical manner. The design is highly modular, allowing you to mix and match components, although each section was initially planned to be approximately one foot long. 011 pertains to the lower end sections, encompassing various locomotive options. It's worth noting that some of the rivets along the side may need to be removed for a seamless fit with the tracks. A small riser section can be added underneath the grave plates to create an illusion of floating. The end connectors have been designed to be reversible, ensuring a flush connection with the adjacent unit. 012 relates to the middle section of the lower part and can be omitted or expanded according to your preference. Moving on, we have the engine section that can be mounted atop the base unit. 020 deals with the door and rivets for all upper parts, while 021 is the front control panel, 022 represents the middle power section, and 023 is the rear engines. All printed components were produced using an Ender 3 Pro with a 5% infill, except for the body sections that required supports, as did the door in 020. The locomotive's end sections (011) have two variations, one of which necessitates supports. With the exception of control panels in 021, all components were printed at 0.3 layer height and didn't require rafts. Note that the crew, railings, gun rack, screens in the corridors, and the radar dish on the roof are not 3D printed. I've had a blast creating this design and look forward to further enhancements down the line. July 29, 2020 To enhance your experience, I've added three files for incorporating a ramp into the main trailer mid-section. This should work well with short track sections but may clash with longer tracks. The hinge has printed well on my Ender 3 Pro, although some minor filing was required.
