Iron Man Mk3 Helmet Remix for Smaller Printers

thingiverse

This is a remix of another version of the Mk3 Iron Man Helmet for Cosplay use, featuring a MonoPrice Select Mini V2 start that refused to let my small print bed get in the way. These pieces are printed with pegs that should fit, but you'll probably have to shave a little off to get them to fit properly. The jaw is the only one using separate pegs because I was doing things differently at the time. Everything fits fairly well, but some stuff didn't translate perfectly and it might not fit great in some areas. I plan to smooth out those imperfections through spackling and resin/fiberglass coating on the inside, which I haven't done yet, but assembling them went very well. The side piece will need mirroring, and the ear piece needs printing twice. The large peg doesn't work on the lower jaw, but the small ones do. Print four small pegs to give it enough hold. Used Loctite to adhere the pieces together, and clamps are very helpful for holding them in place until they set. I'd really recommend reinforcing it though as I did have some pieces snap off. I apologize for the large file size of about 500mb because I had to solidify these parts and wanted to avoid imperfections by maximizing mesh density.
