IRON MAN MK VI Suit (1:1 scale) parts assembly test fit
thingiverse
I had the crazy idea to build a full-scale Iron-Man suit (for display). The files that I am using are made by a German dude called DaDave and are a lot of files to print and assemble. There are about 100 pcs. to print half of the suit, then you would have to mirror most of the parts to get the other (mirror) half of the suit. As many have stated, it is quite a challenge to figure out which part goes where, as decription is scarce, so I am try-and-erroring to find out how to do it. DaDave has named the files well, so I am printing and assembling them in sections (chest, shoulder, arm, back, hip etc). As I am using cura as slicer, I loaded the parts into cura and saved the assembled sections as cura-project (*.3mf) I uploaded the files here (as a work-in-progress) to help others putting all the parts together. I am starting with the left half of the chest-piece: I uploaded the STL-file so you can get an idea where to put which part, but I think you cannot separate or move the single parts, so I also included the cura-project file (.3mf), which you can load into cura to change the positions of the parts. Up front, you will see the left-half of the triangle of the arc reactor, so if you mirror all the parts and put them together, you would get the full chest piece etc. I have not resized or altered DaDaves files in any way, i just have put the parts together! This is a work-in-progress. Bear with me, I am not a pro. I just want to help others building this fabulous Iron-Man suit
