Iron Man Mark 42 Helmet
thingiverse
I came across this Mark 42 helmet on Thingiverse and thought it was really impressive. After printing it out, I discovered that it was significantly smaller than expected and had several issues with its design. I decided to take it into Tinkercad and fix as many of the problems as possible. To make the opening larger, I added a chin extension slide in an attempt to accommodate a full head size. The helmet breaks down into three separate parts: the tongue piece slides into the larger piece, while a small block gets glued onto the end to prevent the tongue from sliding out again. Additionally, I included numerous touch-up details to make it more durable and long-lasting. Since I haven't printed it at its full scale yet, there may be some further adjustments needed, such as widening the opening even more. Hopefully, everything will work as planned, and you'll enjoy using this modified helmet.
