Iron Man lantern wedge for chest running lamp

This may be one of the most challenging designs to describe that I've created. While walking my dog at night with a lantern or flashlight isn't ideal, it's especially difficult when it's icy and I'm struggling to control the dog (she still hasn't learned to walk on a loose leash). So, I bought a lantern that straps onto my chest, shining light ahead of me while keeping my hands free. It also has a safety light on the back. Clearly, I had to call this device my Iron Man Lantern; look at it and you'll see why: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B077X8D768/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The problem with this lantern is that its light shines straight forward, not down to the icy ground in front of me. Initially, I tried fixing it by sticking a block of styrofoam to the lantern, causing the light to angle downward. However, this solution barely held up. This design adds a module that snaps onto the back of the lamp, pointing its light downward. While "snaps" might be an overstatement – the attachment doesn't fit perfectly and won't truly snap into place – the elastic of the lantern will keep it securely in position. You can also use sticky-tape or glue for extra stability. By the way, although the specific Amazon item I ordered is currently unavailable, there are at least three other listings for what appears to be an identical product right now.
