Iron Man Jericho Missle Model Rocket
thingiverse
This is a semi scale model rocket based on the Jericho Missle from Iron Man. It is designed around a 14.5" BT-FF body tube. Use the fins to print a template and then make them out of balsa because they come out really heavy and with the front fins, I found the center of pressure is very far forward and therefore needs a very forward center of gravity. It works great with either a C or D motor. I tested with a C6-3 and D12-3. Screw the tail cone onto the motor mount then glue the motor mount into the tube but DO NOT GET GLUE ON THE TAIL CONE! Once dry, you can unscrew the tail cone. There is adapter for use with a C motor. Based on your print settings you may have to sand the inside of the motor mount and adapter. I also had the head the threads of the tail cone and then screw on the motor mount because it was a very tight fit. I printed those parts with PETG with 3 walls and 15% infill. In order to balance, i printed my nose cone with 3 walls and 50% infill. You want it to be about 40 grams. Let me know if you have any questions. Video with a D12-3
