sketchfab
Ancient bronze votive offering with a humanoid form found at the archaeological site of Alarcos in Ciudad Real, Spain's Castilla-La Mancha region, dating back to the Iron Age. This significant artifact is now part of the Ciudad Real Museum's collection, cataloged as DO000049. Utilizing Reality Capture technology from 488 images, the ex-voto has been meticulously processed and documented as Exvoto43PE. The discovery was made at the Alarcos oppidum sanctuary. This remarkable digitization project was made possible through a collaborative agreement signed in 2020 between the regional government of Castilla-La Mancha's Junta de Comunidades and Global Digital Heritage. We extend our gratitude to the Ciudad Real Museum, particularly its director José Ignacio de la Torre, for their invaluable contribution to this cultural preservation initiative.
