Iris for Goggles
thingiverse
I revised the original design to fit within the confines of the goggles part found in Thingiverse as part number 672714. These components are nearly complete, however, my computer suffered a system crash which resulted in the loss of the CAD files; consequently, it is likely that they will not be updated further. Feel free to use the Iris model on its own or combine it with the goggles according to your specific requirements. Note that you only require 11 leaves and pins, though I printed 12 to accommodate potential damage during handling. Instructions: 1. Print all the necessary components. 2. Secure one pin into each leaf by positioning them so that their respective nubs and pointed ends face in opposite directions. 3. Insert the leaves into the front_mnt carefully, ensuring proper alignment. 4. Install the pivot wheel, exercising caution with its orientation to prevent misalignment. 5. Place the Back_mnt over the top of the pivot wheel, making certain that they are correctly positioned. 6. Secure the components together using three #6 bolts and corresponding nuts. 7.
