Iris Door Box v3
thingiverse
This updated iris door box version features thinner walls, leaves, and top ring for reduced material usage and print time. The mechanism is also easier to assemble and adjust. However, it's crucial to use the specified screw diameter to avoid sizing issues. Assembly requires screws and glue, with written instructions provided in a TXT file. For ABS printing on a MakerBot 2X, set gear ring and slot ring at .2 layer height with 10% fill and 2 shells; leaves at .2 layer height with 10% fill and 1 shell (to prevent sloppy fitting); and base at .2 layer height with 0% fill and 2 shells for stability. Using anything other than 0% fill on the base may cause instability, shaking, or nozzle jamming.
