Iris Diaphragm - with F360 design
thingiverse
This Iris fully opens and closes by pushing a lever through 47 degrees. Twelve leaves pivot in the base while sliding in and out within slots in the top as it rotates. Be cautious not to rotate the top too far in either direction, as this can cause damage to the Iris. I created this project as an experiment with intricate printed moving parts. The Fusion360 design file is included for anyone who wants to extend or enhance it. I've used parametric sketches to determine the shape, making it easy to adjust dimensions to suit or scale supplied STL files in a slicer before printing. All parts should print without supports or brims.
