This compact iris mechanism, fitting on a business-card-sized piece, features 3 leaves for simplicity and minimal thickness. The design can accommodate more leaves but would require larger dimensions. Originally, it had 4 leaves, easily scalable to different numbers with ease. If interested, I could upload this version too. For assembly, use .014" thick card stock and follow the video tutorial at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bybPiB00voE. Opt for paper glue like Elmer's, avoiding contact with moving parts.
