This custom designed "IR_POD" is meant to securely hold 2 infrared LEDs and 1 infrared detector in place, simplifying testing and prototyping of projects currently underway. The two round holes can accommodate most commonly sized LEDs while the rectangular slot in the middle holds a TSOP IR detector snugly. Dimensions of the IR_POD allow for focused emission of light rays from the IR LEDs and shield the IR detector from external light sources. The pod's versatility also makes it suitable for various small projects involving any type of LEDs. INSTALLATION: The front surface of the IR_POD is flat while the back has small chamfers, approximately 0.2mm deep for the LEDs and 0.2-0.3mm deep for the detector, which is recessed slightly. Insert the LEDs first from the back with their tops facing forward and the detector face-first from the back of the pod. You may need to remove the metal casing from TSOP IR detectors before installation. A small amount of glue can be applied to keep the detector in place after soldering and testing, ensuring a secure fit for the new IR LEDs and TSOP detector. That's it!
