IR LED Case and Mount Tools

Protective case and mount tools for IR infrared LEDs. This was designed for the IR LED boards that came preinstalled on the [Arducam day-night vision for Raspberry Pi camera](https://www.uctronics.com/camera-modules/camera-for-raspberry-pi/arducam-wide-angle-day-night-vision-for-raspberry-pi-camera-170-degree-d-automatic-ir-cut-switching-all-day-image-all-model-support-with-ir-leds-and-case.html). When recording closely through transparent but reflective surfaces such as plexiglass, the IR LEDs would cause flare-like artifacts in the captured image. So, we took them off the main camera board, wired them in parallel, and powered them directly from a pair of 3v3 power and group pins on the Raspberry Pi. This design was intended to house the IR LED boards and mount them anywhere that can provide the best IR illumination when recording using noIR cameras under low-light conditions. ### Print: - A 0.4mm clearance was designed into each joint since we are printing with a 0.4mm nozzle in 0.2mm resolution. - Use support interface wherever possible for better overhang quality, easier joint assembly, and smoother joint movement. - The mount tools were designed to be as much modular as possible, so that which parts you need to print and how many depend entirely on your specific needs. The pictures show only a few ways of implementing the mount tools. Also, please check out our [universal G-Clamp](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5383893) for more. ### Assembly: - For assembling the IR LED case and mount tools, only M2.5 hex socket head cap screws and nuts will be needed (which come with an additional cost of ≤ $1 for every set). - The IR LED case will need 2 sets of M2.5 x 16mm screws and nuts. - Each joint will need 1 set of M2.5 x 22mm screw and nut (housed in a M2.5_Nut_Knob for easy adjustment without an Allen wrench) ### Updates:
