I'm glad to hear that this stand does exactly what my son asked for: it holds his socket adapter and iPod securely in place. To use this stand, simply slide the socket adaptor into its slot at the bottom of the stand while plugging your iPod into the top. This part of the stand is designed to be asymmetrical, so make sure you align it correctly before proceeding, as the power adapter is also not symmetrical.
