iPod Nano 7G Case with Clip (/w Zip Ties)
thingiverse
We owned an iPod shuffle with a built-in clip and after upgrading to a nano 7g, we greatly missed the clip's functionality. I attempted to design a simple printable one but ultimately separated the case and clip, allowing both components to be printed without supports. This also enabled us to use them with different cases or devices, as well as various clip designs. The cutouts are specifically designed for zip ties that measure 2.5mm in width and have a head size of 5x5x4mm (width x length x height). These then sit flush on top of the clip. I also added some double-sided adhesive tape, though it might not be entirely necessary. ABS or PETG are recommended materials for printing, as PLA may break when inserting the iPod. We'd appreciate your feedback on this design and its performance in real-world use.
