iPod Cord Cleat

iPod Cord Cleat

thingiverse

Keep your earbud cord attached and tangle-free with an iPod Cord Cleat. This innovative design was created by Raven Gildea, Larry James (Wulf Design), and other participants in a "Thought to Thing in 2hrs or Less" 3D print and design workshop at the Jigsaw Renaissance Maker Space for Seattle Free School. The cleat can be printed in about an hour and a half. Learn more at Wulf Design's blog, and vote for this design in the Make Magazine Makerbot Giveaway. If the giveaway is won, the Makerbot may reside in the Maker Space for future classes. When printing, enable Skeinforge's Comb option to minimize hair cleanup. After printing, use a knife or needle file to refine any rough spots and adjust cleat size for optimal fit. Two versions are available: fully functional Version 0.1 and improved but untested Version 0.2. The Rhino3d source file and STEP export are included for easy customization.
