I decided to give new life to an old iPod 4 by swapping out the hard drive with a solid state board using a compact flash card and microSDs. The challenge was that there was plenty of room left in the iPod, but the board kept coming loose from its connections. To secure it, I used a special clip that holds the eBay interface board firmly in place along with the CF card.
